KrymTelekom shares to be auctioned

KrymTelekom, which launched mobile services in the Republic of Crimea (part of the Russia-occupied Crimea peninsula) in February 2016, is set to be privatised by its owner, the Ministry of Property and Land Relations of the Crimea. According to ComNews, the telco’s sale forms part of a regional privatisation programme, and the asset is valued at around RUB1.3 billion (USD22.5 million). The Ministry expects the sale to receive interest from private equity funds.
