Telekom 250Mbps fixed broadband reaches 12m homes

Telekom Deutschland (TD), the domestic operating unit of Deutsche Telekom (DT), has enabled maximum fixed broadband speeds of 250Mbps for an additional 1.7 million households over the last four weeks. The latest upgrade work has increased the total number of 250Mbps-capable homes to twelve million across Germany, with this set to rise to 15 million by 2019. In addition, TD has rolled out vectoring technology to a further 200,000 lines to enable maximum speeds of 100Mbps.
