United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based Etisalat has reported revenues of AED13.15 billion (USD3.58 billion) for the three months to the end of September 2018, a year-on-year increase of 2.0%. Third-quarter net profit dropped 2.0% to AED2.74 billion due to increased expenses and expenditure. Operating expenses were up 6.3% y-o-y at AED8.54 billion. The group, which has operations across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, had 144 million subscribers at the end of September, unchanged from the second quarter but up 3% y-o-y.
