Airtel Nigeria has expanded its 4G network to Lagos, increasing LTE coverage to around 60 towns and cities across 16 states in the country. TheCable quotes the firm’s CEO Segun Ogunsanya as saying that the network is expected to reach 100 towns and cities by the end of March 2019. Airtel debuted its LTE service in Ibadan in Oyo State in February 2018, before expanding coverage to the likes of Abuja (in May), Anambra, Delta State and Rivers State.
