US telecoms giant Verizon Communications has reported total consolidated operating revenues of USD32.6 billion for the three months ended 30 September 2018, up 2.8% on an annualised basis. Meanwhile, third quarter operating income was reported at USD7.7 billion, up from USD7.0 billion in 3Q17. Finally, net income for 3Q18 was reported at USD5.1 billion, up from the USD3.7 billion generated in the year-ago period. In operational terms, Verizon ended 3Q18 with 116.871 million wireless subscribers, 6.958 million broadband customers and 12.009 million fixed voice users.
New CEO Hans Vestberg commented: ‘Verizon has posted a third quarter of strong operational and financial performance.
