Netia upgrades networks with Nokia vDAA

23 Oct 2018

Polish telco Netia has contracted Nokia to deploy its Unified Cable Access solution to increase network capacity to cope with the growing demand for bandwidth. Initially targeting the cities of Warsaw and Krakow, Nokia says the deployment will create Europe’s first fully virtualised Distributed Access Architecture (vDAA) cable network, and enable Netia to deliver enhanced ultra-broadband services to residential and business customers while also allowing the telco to quickly expand its network into new service areas. Deployments will begin in Q4 2018.
