Eurona snags Dominican Republic ISP licence

1 Oct 2018

Madrid-based broadband firm Eurona has announced that it has been awarded a 20-year ISP concession to operate in the Dominican Republic. The licence award, which has been processed by Dominican Telecommunications Institute (Instituto Dominicano de las Telecomunicaciones, Indotel), will allow Eurona to deliver satellite-based broadband and fixed voice services. Eurona, which says it has previously been enlisted to deliver internet services to selected hotel resorts on the island, will seek to launch its new product before the end of 2018.
