Hungary’s National Media & Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) is planning to auction 5G frequencies for allocation in the third quarter of 2019, the regulator’s president Monas Karas announced on Tuesday at the Internet Hungary conference, adding that NMHH aims to ensure that the requisite draft legislation is published by the end of this year. As reported on its website, the authority has begun preparing frequency sales in the 700MHz, 3400MHz-3800MHz and other bands to operators.
