Telekom rolls out 250Mbps speeds to 2.9m more homes

Telekom Deutschland, the domestic operating unit of Deutsche Telekom (DT), has enabled maximum fixed broadband speeds of 250Mbps for an additional 2.9 million homes over the last four weeks. The latest upgrade work has increased the total number of 250Mbps-capable households to 8.9 million across Germany, with this set to rise to 15 million by 2019. In addition, TD has rolled out vectoring technology to a further 415,000 lines in the last month to enable maximum speeds of 100Mbps.
