Telia Denmark conducts 5G demonstrations at headquarters

16 Aug 2018

Telia Denmark has conducted a series of 5G demonstrations at its headquarters in Copenhagen, based on both end-to-end solutions and the forthcoming 5G standards. Henrik Kofod, Technical Director Telia Denmark, disclosed that while 5G speeds would be ‘extremely high’, much of the technology potential lies in its low latency, as the delay in signal would be significantly lower than 4G, which will have enormous importance for large parts of businesses both nationally and internationally. The executive added: ‘The rollout of 5G is going to differ from the 3G and 4G rollouts by being more dynamic and user-oriented. Therefore, we have invited a number of collaborators to see and experience the true end-to-end 5G experience on the standards that will be defined as 5G from 2020. Partners, customers and authorities have been able to experience the direct difference between 4G and 5G during the week.’
