Hong Kong-based telecoms group CK Hutchison has submitted concessions to the EC in order to address antitrust concerns about its full acquisition of Italian telco Wind Tre. Without providing additional details, a filing on the EU competition website shows that CK Hutchison submitted its offer on 9 August, and a new deadline of 31 August has been set to decide whether to approve the deal, Reuters writes. CK Hutchison announced plans in July to increase its ownership of Wind Tre to 100% by agreeing to pay its partner VEON EUR2.45 billion (USD2.87 billion) for the Amsterdam-based group’s 50% stake.
