2Q sales up 2.9% at Du

Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Co (EITC), which trades in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as Du, has reported a 1.3% rise in second quarter net profit after royalties, to AED453 million (USD123 million). Revenues were up 2.9% at AED3.4 billion, boosted by a 9.4% year-on-year rise in income from fixed line services. Mobile revenue was down 1.6% y-o-y.
