TT agrees collaboration deal with Vodafone

12 Jul 2018

Tunisian state-owned telco Tunisie Telecom (TT) has signed a three-year partnership agreement with the UK’s Vodafone Group, the first of its kind to be secured by the British firm in North Africa, according to a press release from TT. Under the agreement, Vodafone will provide strategic and operational support – particularly in areas such as technology and purchasing – to the Tunisian incumbent, whilst the duo will also cooperate on roaming and inter-operator relations at an international level. In addition, both providers will look to identify other potential areas for deeper collaboration.

TT Chairman and CEO Mohamed Fadhel Kraiem, said of the tie-up: ‘We are proud of this partnership that will provide Tunisia Telecom with more efficient solutions for the benefit of multinationals based in Tunisia and all Tunisian companies. TT will be able to offer more competitive roaming services for our compatriots while traveling in countries where Vodafone and its partners are present and Vodafone customers visiting Tunisia. Under this agreement, TT will also have the opportunity to access Vodafone’s global knowledge base, and to realise economies of scale that will be found when we purchase telecommunications equipment.’
