TDC to establish two new units on 1 August

2 Jul 2018

TDC Group, under new owner DK Telekommunikation – comprising Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets Europe (MIRA) and three Danish pension funds, namely PFA, ATP and PKA – is due to establish two new business units in Denmark on 1 August to pursue investments in Danish infrastructure and digitisation. New division NetCo will focus on network and digital infrastructure and will include TDC’s network, wholesale, procurement and logistics, Dansk Kabel TV and IT operations. Meanwhile, OpCo will focus on digital services and customer experiences and will include YouSee, TDC Business, Telmore, Fullrate and Blockbuster. In Norway, TDC Group will continue to run Get and TDC Norway as independent units with no changes. TDC Group president and CEO Pernille Erenbjerg said: ‘In agreement with the new owners we intend to pursue investments in Danish infrastructure and digitisation. Hence, we are to take a large step forward by extending the fibre network, i.e. establishing 5G and thereby providing Denmark’s best mobile network for the future.’
