Estonian fixed and mobile operator Telia Eesti has improved its mobile network in more than 460 locations so far this year. The telco says it has installed 132 new cell sites, upgraded 213 base stations and expanded capacity at 116 further locations. In addition, it has deployed indoor solutions at 54 sites. Telia said that much of the work was carried out in Harju and Tartu counties, including the capital Tallinn, though all counties nationwide saw some improvement. The Swedish-owned operator claims that almost 20% of its voice calls are now made on its 4G network using VoLTE technology.
