Ice shareholders approve Nextel Brasil stake sale, Asian operations spinoff

Shareholders of Scandinavia-based multinational wireless broadband operator Ice Group reported on its investor relations website that its shareholders have approved its previously announced plans to sell its 30% stake in Nextel Brasil to its investment partner, US-based AI Media Holdings (Access Industries), and to demerge Ice Group’s Indonesian and Philippines operations which will be spun off and listed in Norway as Ice Group International. Post-restructuring, Ice Group would own 100% of its Scandinavian business consisting of Ice/Net1-branded operations in Norway, Denmark and Sweden.
