Nimbus increases stake in Paratus Telecom to 51.4%

Nimbus Infrastructure Limited has increased its stake in Paratus Telecom from 26.5% to 51.4%, writes Extensia. The move to buy 24.9% of additional shares means that Paratus Africa’s Namibian arm is now a subsidiary of Nimbus. As previously reported by TeleGeography’s CommsUpdate, in February this year capital pool company Nimbus acquired a 26.5% stake in Paratus for a total of NAD95 million (USD7.9 million) and according to Nimbus co-founder Rome Mostert the increased shareholding means that ‘it will enable Nimbus to become a fully-fledged player in the Paratus group, with a proven history, which will allow Nimbus to access the Paratus group’s investment pipeline in the rest of Sub-Saharan Africa.’
