Singapore MVNO Circles.Life has announced the launch of a new mobile plan which it says will cost consumers just SGD8 (USD5.9) every three months to maintain their monthly ‘freebies’. Amid an increasingly heated mobile price war in the city-state, the Liberty Wireless-owned virtual operator is offering the deal to users which it says includes a free SIM card and 1GB of mobile data, 30 minutes’ talk-time and ten SMS a month. Circles.Life, which launched its 4G service in Singapore in May 2016 via a network hosting deal with mobile network operator M1, says that its non-contract plans are designed in tiers with its most popular plan coming with 6GB of mobile data for SGD28 a month. Circles.Life’s co-founder Mr Rameez Ansar was quoted by local press as saying: ‘We believe in empowering people by making digital access more available for everyone … with no strings attached.’
Circles.Life competes with a number of MVNOs in Singapore, including Zero1, Zero Mobile, SMART Pinoy Singapore and fibre broadband service operator MyRepublic’s offer which is currently limited to its existing subscriber base and ‘select customers’.
