Russian regulatory reshuffle on the cards

Russia is poised to reform the Ministry of Communications & Mass Media (Minkomsvyaz) as the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications & Mass Media, CNews reports. The planned change was finalised in a decree signed by Russian president Vladimir Putin on 15 May, containing a wide range of other federal agency and ministerial reshuffles. As part of the change, Nikolai Nikiforov, the current Minister of Communications, will be replaced by Konstantin Noskov, who currently heads the government’s Analytical Centre.
