PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) is preparing capital expenditure of around IDR30 trillion (USD2.16 billion) in FY 2018 as it looks to support the group’s operational performance throughout the year, IndoTelko reports. At a meeting of the board of commissioners and directors last week, Telkom finance director Harry M Zen confirmed that: ‘Capital expenditure is still allocated at about 25% of this year’s revenue target. Or around IDR30 trillion’. Of the total, around 50% is set aside for the group’s cellular business (Telkomsel), 30% for fixed broadband, and the remainder (20%) on other projects. Telkom is targeting double-digit revenue growth this year despite what is expected to be a difficult year due to pressures in the industry – such as the government-imposed pre-paid registration policy based on the Population Identity Number (NIK) and Family Card (KK).
