A1 Telekom Austria Group posts 1.2% rise in Q1 revenue

26 Apr 2018

A1 Telekom Austria Group has reported total revenues of EUR1.07 billion (USD1.3 billion) for the first quarter of 2018, up by 1.2% from EUR1.06 billion in the year-ago period, driven by an increase in equipment revenues and retail fixed line service revenues. Group EBITDA was relatively stable, rising 0.2% from EUR340.9 million in Q1 2017 to EUR341.5 million twelve months later, with positive contributions from all segments apart from Belarus (down by 15.7%) and Slovenia (39.2%). A1 Telekom Austria Group reported a drop in the net result from EUR96.4 million to EUR24.5 million over the same period, negatively impacted by the brand amortisation resulting from the groupwide rebranding announced in September last year.

At 31 March 2018 A1 Telekom Austria Group reported a total of 20.64 million wireless subscribers, an increase of 0.1% year-on-year, although wireline RGUs fell by 0.7% y-o-y to 6.03 million at the end of 1Q18.
