Slovenia’s Telekom Slovenije Group has reported a 2% increase in full-year revenues in 2017 to EUR726.0 million (USD897.0 million). Net profit plummeted 77% to EUR9.0 million, however, due to one-off provisions totalling EUR30.3 million, which were necessary ‘to reduce exposure to lawsuits and continuing personnel restructuring activities’. EBITDA dropped 15% year-on-year to EUR168.7 million. The group, which has operations in Slovenia, Kosovo and Bosnia & Herzegovina, claimed 1.81 million mobile customers and 365,285 fixed broadband subscribers at the end of 2017. The group invested EUR158.9 million in 2017, with Slovenia accounting for EUR144.4 million; the bulk of the spending was targeted at expanding and upgrading fibre-optic and wireless networks.
