Vodafone Germany has rolled out maximum fixed broadband speeds of 400Mbps to a further 380,000 households. The latest upgrade work covered around 200 cities and communities, including Hamburg (16,900 homes), Kiel (8,500) and Magdeburg (7,700), as well as smaller rural villages such as Calbe, Bad Durkheim, Elmshorn, Gorlitz, Kaufbeuren, Bad Segeberg and Sonthofen. In total, more than eight million households across Vodafone’s HFC network are able to access speeds of up to 400Mbps, and by the end of 2020 the firm is aiming to roll out maximum data rates of 1Gbps to all 12.7 million homes within its cable footprint.
