Agcom launches Italian 5G consultation

Italy’s Communications Regulatory Authority (Autorita per le Garanzie nelle Comunicazioni, Agcom) has launched a public consultation regarding 5G wireless spectrum, as it seeks to firm up the rules regarding allocation procedures and usage requirements. Potential 5G bands identified by the regulator are as follows: 694MHz-790MHz, 3.6GHz-3.8GHz and 26.5GHz-27.5GHz. The consultation was launched on 5 March 2018 and interested parties have 30 days to contact the watchdog with their thoughts.
