The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been named the leading market for fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) penetration for the second year in a row. A report from industry body the FTTH Council says 94.3% of the country’s population has access to a FTTH connection, ahead of Singapore (90.3%), South Korea (81.6%), Hong Kong (75.6%) and Japan (69.1%). FTTH services are provided in the UAE by Etisalat and Du.
