Consolidated Communications has announced that it has rebranded all operations within the FairPoint Communications service area under its own name. The name change follows Consolidated’s 2017 acquisition of FairPoint. The all-stock merger transaction, which was valued at approximately USD1.5 billion (including debt) closed in July 2017, and created an enlarged operator with a fibre footprint spanning 24 states and more than 36,000 route miles.
Bob Udell, president and CEO of Consolidated Communications, commented: ‘Today, we launch the Consolidated Communications brand to reflect a new day and our commitment to deliver best-in-class services to our customers. We are committed to making this transition a seamless experience for customers.’
