MTS Belarus adds Petrikov, Zhitkovichi and Krichev to 4G footprint

Continuing an aggressive 4G LTE expansion programme that has been a primary focus of its efforts throughout 2017, Belarusian mobile network operator (MNO) MTS Belarus says it has added the towns of Petrikov and Zhitkovichi (both Gomel region), and Krichev in the eastern region of Mogilev to its network. The MNO says its phased deployment – which is being carried out in conjunction with the country’s national infrastructure provider Belarusian Cloud Technologies (beCloud) – is designed to meet fast-growing demand for the advanced mobile internet technology and is currently available to residents in more than 90 towns/cities across the country, and used by more than a million MTS subscribers.
