SAZZ to build ‘Pre-5G’ TD-LTE network in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan telco AzQtel (SAZZ) will build the country’s first ‘Pre-5G’ network operating on the TD-LTE standard, reports Trend. Jeyhun Mollazade, Head of SAZZ, said that Israel’s Telrad Networks will be the equipment supplier for the network: ‘Telrad Networks has proved itself as a supplier of high-quality and reliable equipment. We have already installed about six access points in Baku. These are powerful six-sector stations. Each of them is capable of ensuring data transmission at a speed of 600Mbps’. Mollazade added that the company will use Dual Carrier technology and this will begin deployment in 2018.
