Melita launches 1Gbps broadband

16 Nov 2017

The Maltese fixed and mobile operator Melita has launched the country’s first gigabit internet services over its fibre-coax infrastructure. The firm’s GigaPower offering is available in Valletta, Sliema and St Julian’s at launch, with a nationwide rollout planned. The 1Gbps service will cost existing Flexi multi-play customers an additional EUR25 (USD29.40) a month on top of their current tariff of EUR32.99. Melita previously provided internet access with peak download speeds of 250Mbps.
