Magyar Telekom's 2Gbps broadband hits the market

1 Nov 2017

Magyar Telekom has launched a 2Gbps (download) fibre broadband package, claiming the highest speed in the Hungarian market, doubling its previous premium gigabit access speed, reports Broadband TV News. The new 2Gbps service, with uploads capped at 500Mbps, can be bought as part of Telekom’s converged ‘Magenta 1’ bundle. The quad-play network operator, part of the Deutsche Telekom group, says that 760,000 households are covered by its gigabit direct fibre broadband services (up from 701,000 in May).
