Australian ISP Vocus has announced plans to sell off its assets in New Zealand which include broadband and mobile providers such as Slingshot, Flip, Orcon, CallPlus and 2Talk. It is looking to complete the sale by the end of its current financial year on 30 June 2018. Its New Zealand business had a total of 192,000 internet customers at the end of September 2017, accounting for 16% of the country’s ultrafast broadband (UFB) fibre market at the same date. It also serves around 21,000 mobile users under MVNO arrangements. Vocus says it wants to concentrate its efforts on its core Australian operations.
