Russian triple-play operator AlmaTel has unified the branding of its services, previously offered under the 2Kom and Digital-1 banners, now under the AlmaTel umbrella in Moscow city, Moscow region, Tver, Saratov and Krasnodar, ComNews reported. The AlmaTel group was established in October 2016 by merging 2Kom – established in 1992 and operating a full range of telecoms services in metropolitan Moscow – and Digital-1 (formed in 2009 and providing residential and corporate communications services in Moscow city, Moscow region, Tver and Krasnodar).
AlmaTel provides residential fixed internet, pay-TV and telephony, alongside corporate and wholesale telecoms operations. Director Alexander Gadalov was quoted as saying that AlmaTel currently has 250,000 users across its range of services, and is targeting organic subscriber growth of 5%-10% annually, although further acquisitions are also likely. Furthermore, by the end of 2017 AlmaTel plans to launch MVNO-based mobile services over the Tele2 Russia network.
