Poland’s Play expands LTE-A coverage

Polish cellco P4, which trades under the name Play, has announced the expansion of its 4G LTE-A services to 13 new markets. Coverage is now available in: Kruszwica and Paterek (Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodeship), Buk and Szamocin (Wielkopolskie), Chmielnik and Ranizow (Podkarpackie), Boleslaw and Mszana Gorna (Malopolskie), Koszarawa and Piasek (Slaskie), Tarnow (Opolskie), Przytoczna (Lubuskie) and Bobolice (Zachodniopomorskie). The firm says LTE-A networks are now live in 377 cities of over 10,000 inhabitants and 1,463 towns of over 1,000 inhabitants. Play claimed second spot in Poland’s mobile market at the end of June 2017, with around 14.3 million subscribers.
