Claro announces USD450 million three-year investment plan

Ecuador’s leading mobile network operator (MNO) by subscribers, Claro, has agreed a USD450 million three-year investment deal with the government, reports El Telegrafo. The director general of Claro’s parent company America Movil Daniel Hajj met with President Lenin Moreno this week in Quito to discuss the deal and a Claro spokesman said: ‘We are very happy to have talked with him, and very happy to be investing here in Ecuador.’ The money is expected to be used to boost coverage and enhance the company’s networks.
