HT outlines investment plans

12 Sep 2017

Croatian incumbent telco Hrvatski Telekom (HT) says it is planning to invest HRK210 million (USD34 million) over the next three years on the development of its business, and on its digital transformation. The planned work includes the launch of nine new IT systems which will cut the number of business processes by 70% and increase automation by 57%, allowing it to simplify its portfolio of services.

HT, which is 51%-owned by Deutsche Telekom of Germany, said it increased investment by 17.6% year-on-year in the first half of 2017, and by the end of the year 58% of Croatian households – or 876,000 premises – will be able to access broadband internet at speeds of 30Mbps or over. High speed fibre-optic networks will be available to 378,000 of these, or 25% of households.
