SPRK consults on spectrum sale

Latvian telecoms watchdog the Public Utilities Commission (Sabiedrisko Pakalpojumu Regulesanas Komisija [SPRK]) has published a consultation paper on the allocation of spectrum in the 3400MHz-3450MHz and 3650MHz-3700MHz bands. The regulator is considering selling one or two licences in the aforementioned bands, with reserve prices currently set at EUR250,000 (USD300,455). The licences will be valid from 1 January 2019, with a duration of ten years. Interested parties have until 9 October 2017 to submit comments on the proposals.
