Uzbekistan-based mobile operator Universal Mobile Systems (UMS) has announced that it has deployed LTE technology in a second city, namely Samarkand. Previously, in June 2016 the cellco launched 4G in Tashkent, the capital and largest city of Uzbekistan. The LTE network uses the 800MHz band.
