Atlantic Broadband launches Gigabit broadband in Miami Beach

Atlantic Broadband, which claims to be the United States’ ninth largest cable operator, has announced the widespread availability of its Gigabit broadband service in Miami Beach and surrounding areas. Effective immediately, both GigaEdge (residential) and Pro GigaEdge (business) internet services are available for homes and businesses in Miami Beach and surrounding areas including Aventura, Bal Harbour, Bay Harbor Islands, Golden Beach, North Bay Village, Pinecrest, South Miami, Sunny Isles Beach, Surfside, Brickell, Wynwood, the Biscayne corridor and downtown Miami.

According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, Atlantic Broadband, which is owned by Cogeco Cable of Canada, provides broadband, cable TV and fixed voice services to customers located in five operating regions: western Pennsylvania; Miami Beach, Florida; Maryland/Delaware; Aiken, South Carolina; and eastern Connecticut.
