ice.net eyes 80% population coverage by mid-2017

Norwegian mobile network operator (MNO) ice.net is aiming to achieve a population coverage level of 80% by the end of June 2018, up from the 40% it currently has, the cellco’s parent company has revealed in a presentation. Furthermore, with around 24% of ice.net’s data traffic now carried over its own infrastructure, Ice Group has said that network optimisation is expected to increase this figure to around 70%, though no timeframe was given for such growth.
