AINMT becomes Ice Group, flags up Norwegian listing this year

24 Aug 2017

Wireless broadband network operating group AINMT has changed its name to Ice Group AS (‘ice group’), ‘to highlight the group’s Norwegian and strategic origin’, and align the corporate identity with its well-established ‘ice.net’ brand. JD Fouchard, group CEO, said: ‘ice.net’s customer-centric and data and LTE-driven business strategy receives very good feedback from Norwegian customers. Our name-change to ice group reflects that we aim to replicate this business model in the other markets [where] we are building up a presence.’ In addition to its high speed mobile broadband services in Norway, Sweden and Denmark, the group has operations in Brazil, Indonesia and the Philippines.

Fouchard added: ‘The name ice group ensures consistency with the ice.net brand in Norway, which also makes sense given that Norway is the most likely market for a listing of ice group later this year.’
