DT staying put in Poland

Deutsche Telekom (DT) has no plans to sell off T-Mobile Poland according to a company executive, who dismissed rumours which emerged earlier this year that the German group was looking for a buyer for the Polish unit. Andreas Maierhofer, president of T-Mobile Poland, is quoted by Telko.in as saying that his firm is even looking at growing its business through acquisitions, primarily in the IT sector. He added that T-Mobile will be looking to play a key role in the development of 4G and 5G technologies in Poland, and is also continuing with its network sharing venture with rival telco Orange Polska.
