Ooredoo expands super-fast fibre network to new areas of Muscat

Oman’s second largest broadband provider by subscribers, Ooredoo has announced that it is extending its super-fast fibre broadband coverage in Muscat governorate. During the last two months Ooredoo has added the areas of Aynt, Darsait, Hamirya, Wadi Kabir, Wadi Adai, Madinat Al-Ilam, Al Qurum, Ruwi, and Al Wataya to its fibre-optic network. Director of Consumer Sales, Feras Al Shaikh commented on the company’s progress, saying: ‘We have made significant upgrades to revamp our super-fast fibre experience, with the introduction of services in new areas, and there are more to come. The new development links a greater number of families and residents with a range of benefits, including speeds of up to 1Gbps, unlimited use and discounts on international call rates.’
