ArmenTel (Beeline) embarks on major mobile network modernisation

Armenian fixed and mobile operator ArmenTel, trading as Beeline, has announced a major mobile network modernisation programme, to improve the quality of voice and mobile internet services countrywide. In a press release, the telco confirmed that the network upgrade will take three months to complete, during which time it will take whatever action necessary ‘to lessen technical difficulties and minimise inconvenience to its clients’.

Commenting on the modernisation works, ArmenTel CEO Andrey Pyatakhin said: ‘We have already carried out a similar modernisation in Yerevan and we are happy with the results,’ adding that following the upgrade in the capital, ‘the technical characteristics and the quality of the network have improved significantly, and we are now working to do the same in provinces as soon as possible’.
