The owners of Poland’s second largest mobile operator by subscribers, P4, which trades under the Play brand, have announced details of the cellco’s forthcoming initial public offering (IPO). If the entire allocation of 121.6 million shares are sold at the maximum price of PLN44 (USD11.75) per share then the sale could raise PLN5.3 billion, valuing the firm at around PLN11.2 billion. The sale will see shareholders Olympia Developments and Novator Partners offload up to 48% of the cellco’s equity. The offering is the largest telecoms IPO in Europe since a 23% stake in Telefonica Deutschland was sold in 2012.
