MyRepublic (Indonesia) says it will expand the reach of its fixed telephony services to all areas of operation this year, as it looks to support its triple-play products and features in the country. IndoTelko notes that as at March 2017, the ISP’s triple-play – cable TV, home phone and broadband internet access – solution was available to residential users and SMEs in Jabodetabek (i.e. Greater Jakarta). MyRepublic now plans to extend its fixed telephony services to all cities where MyRepublic is present such as Surabaya, Malang, Medan, Semarang and Palembang. Further, the company is looking to bolster its internet access coverage this year, with the addition of two more as yet unnamed cities. MyRepublic marketing manager Winnie Sularto told the online news journal that the ISP is exploiting a cooperation agreement with Sinar Mas Group affiliate Smartfren – which has a fixed line telephony licence and a fixed cable telephone licence – to offer its Pontap-branded telephony service.
