20 Jun 2017

British Virgin Islands (BVI) mobile and fixed-wireless operator CCT has announced plans to merge with local cableco BVI Cable TV. The move will enable CCT to expand its portfolio to offer a range of voice, data and pay-TV services, allowing it to compete more effectively with the islands’ dominant telco, Flow (formerly LIME). In a statement, CCT’s CEO Averad Penn said: ‘We are excited for this opportunity to combine CCT BVI technology and BVI Cable TV infrastructure in order to provide best in class telecommunications services in the BVI.’ Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
