Telkom Kenya drops the Orange brand

7 Jun 2017

Telkom Kenya, the fixed and mobile operator which was sold by Orange Group to private equity firm Helios Investment Partners in June 2016, has dropped the Orange brand and adopted Telkom as its new trading name, news source Business Daily Africa writes. The change in Telkom’s brand identity was in line with an agreement made when Helios bought a majority stake in the telecoms operator. Company CEO Aldo Mareuse said Telkom Kenya was now ready to become a player to be reckoned with in the sector, adding that the operator would leverage on expanded investments in network infrastructure.
