Viva Kuwait reports 2% y-o-y growth in profits in 1Q17

Kuwait Telecom Company (Viva), which was listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) in December 2014, has reported net profit of KWD10 million (USD32.8 million) for the three months ended 31 March 2017, up by 2% year-on-year from KWD9.8 million in the corresponding period of 2016, while revenues generated by the company’s operations reached KWD66.9 million, the Kuwait Times writes. The Kuwaiti company also disclosed that its customer base reached 2.3 million by the end of March 2017.
