Movistar extends LTE network to Santo Domingo

Movistar Ecuador, the local mobile unit of Spain’s Telefonica, has announced it has introduced its 4G LTE network in the country’s fourth-largest city of Santo Domingo in the Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas region, writes Ecuador Universitario. Customers will be able to access the high speed technology at no extra cost using the 30 LTE-enabled devices provided by the operator. The 4G rollout in Santo Domingo expands on Movistar’s existing LTE network in Quito, Guayaquil, Salinas, Cuenca, Ambato, Azogues, Esmeradas and Santa Elena.
