RCS&RDS plans to float 20%-30% stake on stock market in May

Romania Cable Systems (RCS&RDS), the country’s leading broadband operator in terms of subscribers, is preparing to list a 20%-30% stake on the Bucharest Stock Exchange this May. According to local news outlet Ziarul Financiar (ZF), the stake is likely to be valued at around EUR500 million to EUR600 million (USD533.9 million to USD640.7 million), effectively valuing the cable giant at EUR1.5 billion-EUR2 billion. A separate report from ZF meanwhile, notes that holding company RCS Management (controlled by RCS&RDS founder Zoltan Teszari) intends to acquire up to 21,000 additional shares in the company, paying more than EUR23 million.
